Hi Guys, I have been meaning to to do a food post for the longest time. Since moving from Johannesburg to Cape Town almost 6 years ago I have found my favourite food city to be none other than the Mother City. Cape Town has a unique blend of cafes, restaurants, wine farms and good old fashioned farms. We also have the added bonus of a plethora of food markets with cuisines from almost every corner of the globe. Both Tebogo (my hubby) and I are serious foodies, dedicating 60% of our monthly going out budget to new food experiences.

I was tempted to do a huge food post but I will limit it to my last weekend’s food adventures for now. I cannot rave enough about the food above. Jarryds had amazing food and not to mention one of the best customer services. The cafe may be small but the energy and spatial layout make the space seem large. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the decor at Zenzero but it is so dreamy with a fine dining yet casual atmosphere. I love that you get a view of the beach while enjoying lunch. It is by far the best pasta I have ever had. It is a bit pricey so do not go on a budget. Bistro Sixteen 82 is situated in the Steenberg Wine Estate, firstly the whole place is such a dream and the perfect spot for a Sunday lunch. You are surrounded by mountains and beautiful gardens all around. My favourite part other than the mouth watering food was the attention to detail in their decor and a giant glass room which looked like a distillery. Very classy, relaxing, great service and honestly worth the money spent. Finally Hussar Grill, I love a good steak and family nights out. Hussar grill has a special atmosphere where you feel like you are at a restaurant but you do not have to act all too prim and proper. It is always buzzing with laughter, conversations and beautiful family memories. My favourite has to be the Sea Point branch for date night but there is an authentic and caring family-like nature in the Mouille Point branch.

I will try to do at least one food post per month, so let me know if there any particular spots you would like us to try or whether you are looking for high tea, dessert, fine dining or good old fashioned pizza and burger spots.

With tons of belly love
